Pediatric Section Update

Don’t Miss the Pediatric Session, Saturday, April 29 at the Postgraduate Seminar!

By Julieanne Sees, DO, FAOAO
President, AOAO Pediatric Section

Our pediatric orthopedic surgeons continue to investigate and report on all sub-specialty areas with grand topics of interest in general pediatric trauma, sports, musculoskeletal infection, deformity, and conditions. We are looking forward to the upcoming AOAO Postgraduate Seminar this April with a tremendous program organized by the amazing Alison Gattuso, DO. She has compiled our line up to review the new technologies available to treat the young ones of our society.

Ali will be reporting on upper extremity trauma and fracture care as well as orthopedic oncology updates while Joseph Rosenblatt, DO, will review the lower extremity trauma management as well as infections.  We also have Ahmed Bazzi, DO giving us more information on the innovations in treatment of limb deformities. I will tell you about innovations in treatment of neuromuscular disorders.

Anne Marie Chicorelli, DO will speak about the focus on hip preservation procedures in the growing child, and Dan Ruggles, DO will share perspectives on managing early on-set and adolescent scoliosis.  If you are a “pedi-pod”  join us for these quality lectures and to have some fun hitting up the town of Nashville, capital of country music and honky-tonks. Hope to see y’all next month!
