Orthopedic Hits from AOA Marketing

The AOA has been busy with a national marketing campaign to make the public aware of the "AOA Brand".  We have been curious to know how much this has trickled down to affect orthopedics. I spoke with Charlie Simpson, Chief Communications Officer for the AOA and found out the following:

  • November 2015 to March 2016: There were 4,005 searches with a query related to orthopedics ("orthopedic surgeon", "knee ortho", "orthopedist", etc.).
  • April 2016 to today: There were 4,036 actions related to "Orthopedics".

So, 4,036 is how many times someone searched their city or zip, got the results, then selected "orthopedics" from the specialty dropdown in order to see only the orthopedists.

Orthopedics is in the top five specialties in actions.
