55th Postgraduate Outcomes Survey Results
The Academy recently conducted a survey of practicing physicians who attended this year’s Postgraduate Seminar at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort in Amelia Island, FL.
These surveys provide important information on the effectiveness of the Academy’s educational sessions on the day to day practice of our physician attendees. Of those who responded, over 80% felt the lectures they attended had a positive impact on their knowledge, competence, and ability to perform during diagnosis and/or surgery. Some were able to change coding practices, apply new techniques, and use new ways to evaluate patient conditions. Those who encountered barriers with implementation of what they learned cited the top two reasons as practice issues and finances.
The CME Committee has been considering the addition of online CME for Academy members. This question was also posed on this survey. Over 80% felt they would benefit from online education that offered CME and provided topics for the committee to consider.
