AOAO Skills Lab Series
By Gary S. Ulrich, DO, FAOAO, FACOS
In an effort to continue offering our membership the most relevant and up-to-date educational experiences, the AOAO has entered into a collaborative relationship with the Marian College of Osteopathic Medicine at Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Marian College of Osteopathic Medicine offers a state-of-the art anatomy lab and electro facilities which provides an excellent venue to hold various surgical technique cadaver skills labs. These labs are anticipated to be approved for at least eight hours of AOA Category 1-A CME Credit and will hopefully cover a full array of orthopedic surgical techniques that are used in our daily practices. Industry support is also expected.
The Academy is currently conducting a brief survey to gather information for future planning of these courses. If you have not already completed the survey, please do so as it will help us plan appropriately for our members’ needs.
The survey closes Monday, January 12, 2015
As you may expect, these types of courses involve a tremendous amount of planning expense. The survey results we obtain will be invaluable. Watch for further information in the upcoming months for course date and time. The skills lab course size will be limited for optimum hands on experience. Be sure to sign up early when registration becomes available.
