EDITOR'S NOTE

Filling Big Shoes

Dr. ArmbrusterBy Edward J. Armbruster, DO, FAOAO
Orthopod Editor

It is with great pride and humility that I assume the position of Editor of The Orthopod.  Dr. Beckenbaugh has done an outstanding job at the helm of our signature publication, bringing relevant information about the science and development of our profession.  Indeed, he has left big shoes to fill.  Thank you for your many years of service as Editor of our publication!

I am inspired by our past and excited about our future.  We currently have more DO orthopedic surgeons and residents contributing to our publication than ever before.  This edition features scientific articles that shed light on the challenges we face daily.  AOAO section updates round out this issue, offering highlights of current events within the Academy and providing you with educational content you can use to strengthen and advance your practice.

My goal as Editor is to deliver relevant content about the science of osteopathic orthopedics, our Academy sections and membership and our training programs.  As such, I am all ears.  I encourage participation from our members to make this publication the best it can be.  In this light, please forward any suggestions for upcoming issues, any feedback regarding past issues and any willingness to contribute to our content.

I look forward to working with you to deliver the best The Orthopod has to offer!
