2012 Annual Meeting Recap

October 25-28, 2012 • The Broadmoor, Colorado Springs, Colorado

The Academy saw many successes during the 2012 Annual Meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado and broke many records!

Drs. Ulrich and ScottThe Residents and Fellows Session was once again a success with a total of 12 papers presented by residents and fellows. This session continues to be a valuable addition to the Annual Meeting. Quality education was offered in a variety of sessions devoted to spine, trauma, shoulder and elbow, sports medicine, pediatrics, hand and adult reconstructive surgery. Overall, 92% of participants felt the techniques they learned would positively affect their daily practice.

The Academy also provided a well known Keynote Speaker, Dr. Eric Heiden, five-time Olympic gold medalist in speed skating in 1980. Dr. Heiden is also an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, knee surgery, and shoulder surgery. His address was both insightful and inspiring to our participants.

If you haven’t attended an Annual Meeting in a while, make plans to attend this year in San Diego. You won’t be disappointed. For more pictures from the 2012 Annual Meeting, please click here.
