Welcome

As the Program Chair I would like to invite and welcome all our members and their families to the 2018 Annual Meeting at the Hilton Atlanta. Let's just get down to business. Our theme this year is “The Business of Orthopedics”. Along with informative didactic lectures and case discussions, we will include topics related to running our day to day practices.

Don't miss the Keynote speaker, Michael Daniel, who will provide insight on increasing online security with his lecture on "Building your Cyber Toolbox" - something we may all have been effected by with recent data breaches.

This Annual Meeting will be held simultaenously with the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS). Some may remember when the Annual Meetings of both organizations were held together as the ACA. Although we will be at different hotels (AOAO at the Hilton and ACOS at the Marriott, connected by a covered walkway), our hope is to provide an opportunity for members to catch up with colleagues and mentors. For those interested in spinal surgery, don't miss the joint Spine/Neurosurgery Session on Friday morning. The session promises to be informative with a debate style format with our neurosurgery colleagues from the ACOS.

Not only is Atlanta the world headquarters of Coca-Cola and the Home of the Braves, multicultural neighborhoods are springing up everywhere providing food, bars and entertainment for everyone. Relax at the hotel, take in our lectures, and experience Atlanta and all it has to offer.
